Are your savory egg tarts the same as quiches?

Close, but waaay better!

These tasty little savory tarts are chock full of ingredients — with just a bit of egg & cream to bind it all together. Not the bland eggy quiches you may have tasted in the past. Take some home, or ask us to heat them here for you — it only takes a couple of minutes.

What is the best way to heat your savory wee tarts at home?

Heat at 325 degrees for 10 minutes. Microwave will do, but is not ideal.

 

Do you have “plain croissants”?

We have plain croissants some days or by special order. Each day we have special flavors: almond, chocolate, French toast, ham and swiss, Boston cream, caramel.

Do you have latte, espresso, etc.?

We do not have lattes and espresso. We have hot drip coffee and iced cold brew coffee (and hot tea and iced tea). Our coffee comes from Carpe Diem Coffee Roasters in Berwick, ME; they roast it for us each week and overnight it to us.

 

Do you have gift cards?

Yes, we do have gift certificates available. We have traditional plastic gift cards that you can buy in the store or we can mail them out to you (or directly to your friends with a note from you) or you can order e-gift certificates from this page. Either way, you can pay online with a credit card.

 

What are your scones like?

Our scones are not too sweet, not too dry, with delicious unique flavor combinations.

 

I want to pick up scones today, but serve them tomorrow. What do you recommend?

We suggest that you wrap the scones in plastic wrap overnight. Before serving, you can refresh in a 325° oven for 6-8 min.

 

Do you make cakes?

Every weekend we offer baby cakes in delicious flavors. Our baby cakes feed two. 

 

We also make cakes and cupcakes by special order. We can do wheat free and vegan cakes, for a surcharge. Basic decoration is included in the cost of the cake, but special decorations, wedding cakes, etc., will be charged a surcharge. We don’t use fondant on our cakes. We use frosting, modeling chocolate, and/or fresh flowers for any ornamentation.

 

Do you have breakfast sandwiches?

Our Egg Flat Wraps are a Figtree Kitchen Signature item. They are an egg and cheese “quesadilla.” They are filled with delicious, fresh ingredients: Mexican (black bean, onions, pepper, corn, cheddar jack cheese), Sausage Potato Caramelized Onion, Spinach Feta Kalamata Olive (spinach flat wraps are also available in a wheat free tortilla).

Are you pet friendly?

We are … unfortunately, the Newburyport Board of Health does not permit pets in food establishments.

 

Do you offer catering services?

Due to staffing and space limitations, we are not able to offer catering options. That said, we do offer our delicious daily bakery items for pickup for your events. Please feel free to review our online menu, and place an order.

 

Do you offer delivery?

We offer delivery for a fee. Due to staffing limitations, delivery is not always available.

 

What’s with the dinosaurs?

Our owners, Michael & Brian, began their business at the local farmers' markets. They wanted an item that would appeal to the kids at the market, so they developed the dinosaur donut ... a baked, cinnamon donut flavored muffins made with a touch of nutmeg (don't tell the kids!) — think cider doughnut in the shape of a dinosaur -- buttery, cinnamony goodness. When we opened our retail shop at 3 Liberty Street in Newburyport, the dinosaurs kind of took on a life of their own.

What’s a morning bun?

Morning buns are made with croissant dough that’s light, flaky, and buttery, and filled with cinnamon and a touch of orange zest. They are sprinkled with sugar, and peel apart in delicate, fluffy layers. It’s what would happen if a croissant and a cinnamon bun had a torrid affair.

What’s a kouign amann?

Pronounced “Queen Aman” -- this is a multi-layered pastry, containing layers upon layers of butter and sugar, rolled and baked to puffy, crispy perfection.

Do you have wheat free products?

While we don't have dedicated facility or equipment to produce 100% certified gluten-free products, we do make some very tasty products without wheat.

Our wheat free items are all made without wheat flour, and we are very careful about cross-contamination, but they are processed in the same facility as our other items with shared equipment.

 

What is your wheat free flour?

We use Bob's Red Mill 1-to-1 Gluten Free Flour for most of our wheat free products. Please ask your server for any additional information before you place your order.

 

Do you have vegan products?

Our banana chocolate chip muffins are moist and delicious and studded with chocolate chips. You'd never know this is vegan! Vegan cakes, cupcakes, and sweet and savory tarts are available upon request. 

 

Do your items have nuts/tree nuts?

Some of our items have nuts, peanuts, or tree nuts. These items include, but are not limited to:
